Unbanster, the team behind Unban.Games, was born in 2015, sparked by an unjust suspension that left us frustrated. Back then, one of our team members faced an arbitrary ban from World of Warcraft, accused of “abusing the in-game economy.” In reality, nothing like that had occurred, and it was clear the suspension was baseless.
Sparing you the frustrating details, the account recovery process seemed nearly impossible. Despite knowing we were in the right, every carefully worded appeal was met with the same dismissive response: “this penalty has been upheld.”
After many tickets, persistence finally paid off. We managed to get the account reinstated, and they even acknowledged their mistake. Ironically, prior to this, we were threatened with statements like, “if you continue to contact us, we may also remove your ability to contact the Support Department.”
This experience opened our eyes to a common issue. Many players face unfair suspensions due to false positives or unfounded reports, with little chance to properly defend themselves. Since then, we’ve encountered countless players in similar situations, and we’ve been proud to help many of them get their accounts back.
Fast forward to today: after over 20 years of gaming experience and more than 9 years of helping with unbans, we’re confident that we’ve dealt with just about every type of suspension out there.
